Our Team: I-QIPS Student Ambassadors

The Institute for Continuing Professional Development in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (I-QIPS) provides a home and focus for College-wide educational and training initiatives, resources, and recognition for BCM faculty and staff interested in expanding their knowledge, skills, and abilities in the science, application, and teaching of quality improvement and patient safety (QI/PS) to benefit BCM and its affiliated learners across the educational continuum.

As part of its initiative to train faculty, support innovation, and promote scholarship in quality improvement and patient safety, the I-QIPS seeks qualified BCM first-year medical students (MS1) to serve as I-QIPS Student Ambassadors. Selected students serve in this volunteer role for a two-year term.

Student Ambassadors have the opportunity to develop and grow quality improvement (QI) education across the BCM clinical pavilions, while also receiving direct mentorship in QI from BCM faculty leaders in QI, leadership training, and QI education. Further, they will work closely with I-QIPS faculty during monthly and ad-hoc meetings, as needed, as well as meet regularly with members of the I-QIPS leadership team.

I-QIPS Student Ambassadors are selected via a formal application process. Contact the I-QIPS Team for more information.
