As part of its initiative to train faculty, support innovation, and promote scholarship in quality improvement and patient safety, the Institute seeks qualified candidates to serve as QI coaches for faculty or trainees involved in improvement-related activities conducted across BCM-affiliated institutions.

QI Coaches participate as Workshop Faculty in training courses offered by the Institute, providing assistance by leading breakout activities during the course (providing small-group coaching on improvement projects being conducted by the learners in the course). Additionally, QI Coaches may provide similar coaching to the learners in between the in-person workshop sessions to provide any additional guidance needed to prepare the learners for the next scheduled session.

The Institute's team of QI Coaches are selected via a formal application process. When applications are open, a "Call for Coaches" announcement is posted on the Institute's website, as well as circulated across various communication venues across BCM. For more information, please visit the QI Coaches page.
